Summer is coming up quickly. For many families that means planning vacations and fun activities. However, for some families that means added budget stress because their kids are home more and no longer have access to the free breakfast and lunch programs provided during the school year. These kiddos often experience hunger and food insecurity. With food prices climbing this adds to an already stressful situation.
For years now, the Clifton Food Bank has had a summer lunch program for Clifton ISD school kids where we provide shelf stable foods over a period of 6 weeks. These meals are picked up once weekly. More details will be provided later as to where families can sign up and when the meals will be distributed.
If you would like to help support our mission this summer, it would be greatly appreciated. We have attached our menu for what foods will be needed. If you would like to sponsor a food item or part of a food item please contact us.
