A large crowd came out to celebrate Clifton Chamber Boots and Business Award Banquet.
During the evening President Paige Key welcomed the crowd. Goodall-Witcher President/CEO Adam Willman gave the invocation and Miriam Wallace and the Bosque Band preformed music through out the evening. Live Auction was led by Tom Henderson along with Stretch Raffle items that were available to bid on during the evening. The delicious dinner was provided by Rockin K & C Catering.
Chair Richard Bergman recognized out-going Chamber Board members Weston Gloff of BCP Real Estate, Sandie Nowlain of First Security State Bank, Megan Major of 219 Artisan Market and Workshop, and Barbara Van Tassel of Dudes and Dolls Hair Salon.
Next he introduced Ed Rieser to present the Community Service Award. The Award went to Buck Thomason. Buck has been in service throughout Bosque County contributing to many nonprofit organizations including, the Bosque Arts Center, Bosque Museum, Central Texas Youth Fair and grounds, Rodeo grounds and multiple projects in Cranfills Gap. Congratulations Buck!

Next Richard Bergman introduced Phyllis Gamble to present the Hulen Aars Lifetime Achievement Award. Phyllis present the award to the Neelley’s. She highlighted a few of the Neelley’s contributions to Clifton. Damaris served for over 20 years as the Main Street director and Community Development Director, served on the ISD Board of Education, Cultural Arts Committee and Bosque Museum. She also served as the CEDC President an is a member of the Heart of Texas Council of Governments. During this time, David served on the Clifton City Council, volunteered with Clifton Fire Department, served on the CEDC board, coached youth baseball and soccer teams. David also served as FBC’s deacon and together raised three children. Congratulations to both award winners.
